The best way to reduce your risk of falling is to be physically active. Choose an activity that you enjoy- that way you’ll stick to it!
Aim for at least 30 minutes of activity a day. You can do your activity all at once or break it up into 15 minute segments. Start slow and build up ↑
What Can You Do?
Be sure to choose activities that increase muscle strength in your legs and upper body- improve your balance, posture and stamina.
Here are some examples:
- Gardening & Housework
- Tai Chi, Yoga or Pilates

What Is Stand Up?
Well, it is a free exercise and information program for older adults that runs twice a week for 12 weeks. The STAND UP! Exercises are safe and they are adapted to your abilities.
